The Government in Exile of the Republic of Serbian Krajina has the honor of greeting the Diplomatic and Consular Representative Offices in the Republic of Serbia and to remind them of the decision of the EU to return to Serbia, by force, the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and the citizens of the third countries – who have long been staying illegally, as foreign citizens in the EU countries, and all of them have come from Serbia.
The Government agrees that this decision of the EU countries is in line with the international law and the provisions of the national constitutions, being based on the universal values. In that respect DCRO will agree that similar measures in similar situations can be undertaken by the countries outside the EU. Due to the fact that the international law is the same for all the countries and nations, the Government of RSK wants to point out that this rule should be applied in the case of the foreign citizens residing in the Republic of Serbia. The residence of the foreign citizens in the Republic of Serbia has violated the fairness and the basic state functions in Serbia in a much higher degree than has been done by the citizens of Serbia in the EU countries. In the case of Serbia the problem lies in hundreds of thousands of the citizens of the Republic of Albania who have never lodged applications for the citizenship of Serbia and who have been living in Serbia for decades.
The Government reminds DCRO that these foreigners immigrated into Serbia between 1941 and 1990, mainly into Kosovo & Metohia, and their appreciated number is 300 000. This fact is of exceptional importance because the same expert findings give data that in 1990 there lived 800 000 Shiptars (Albanians) (not 1 700 000). If we take these 300 000 foreigners into consideration, then in Kosovo & Metohia there lived only a little more than 50% of Shiptars (Albanians), not 90%, which is a big fraud of the UN.
The Government points out that these foreign citizens immigrated into Kosovo & Metohia due to the plan of the Communist authorities in Yugoslavia to secede this territory from Serbia – and these foreigners from the Republic of Albania (allegedly refugees) should have been the concern of the international community and the UN High Commissioner – which means that they should have been sent to all the countries of the World, or at least to other Yugoslav republics. When they came to Serbia they were accepted on the pretext that they had fled from Albania because of the brutal Communist regime in that country. Today the Republic of Albania is a democratic country and there are no obstacles to their return to the homeland.
The Government wants to draw your attention to the big sin of the UN and EU, for they have permitted the immigration of the new citizens of the Republic of Albania to Kosovo & Metohia, whose appreciated number is 2 million, and this category of foreigners should be treated in the same way as the citizens of Serbia who are illegal residents in the EU.
The Government of the Republic of Serbian Krajina once again takes the opportunity of repeating the expression of its high regard for the Diplomatic and Consular Representative Offices in the Republic of Serbia.
