THE GOVERNMENT OF REPUBLIC OF SERBIAN KRAJINA
11080 Zemun, Magistratski trg 3, Serbia
Tел. 3077-028, vladarsk[at]gmail.com,
Бр. 1143/10 – 22. 1. 2010.
The West has forgotten the case of the Krajina Serbs
The Government of the Republic of Serbian Krajina in exile is honored to welcome the diplomatic consular representatives of the Republic of Serbia and to remind them of 38 notes – with facts, that lies are being introduced in western-European countries and the US about the Serbs and their territories.
The Government of Krajina is reminding the diplomatic consular representatives [of Serbia] on the latest debate regarding the relations between the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The peoples constituting Bosnia and Herzegovina are suggested that their state should be organized in such a way that all the three peoples remain equal in every respect.
This point of view complies with international standards and law. The Republic of Croatia, within Yugoslavia, was a unit of Croats and Serbs, who lived in it. This means that Croatia was a bi-national state [just like Belgium] and the situation in Croatia was less complex than in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a state of three peoples. In the case of the Serbian state-building rights in the former Croatia, the international community violated international law because it allowed the Croatian ethnic community to:
1.      Convert the Serbian constitutional people into a national minority;
2.      Expel 80% of the Krajina Serbs [between 500.000 and 800.000], who fled to Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and overseas;
3.      Occupy the territory of the Serbian people, Republic of Serbian Krajina [a UN protected area] and seize the property of the expelled Serbs;
4.      Expel the Serbs from Zagreb and other Croatian tows and cities, where the Serbs did not organize any demonstrations and where military confrontations did not take place.
The Government of Krajina asks the diplomatic consular representatives to urge their institutions to address the subject of Croatia’s obligation to restore the Serbian state-building rights before the UN. The Serbs enjoyed state-building rights in Hungary since 1471, in Austria since 1630, in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia since 1918 and in Communist Yugoslavia since 1945. Serbs cannot have peace and stability in the former Yugoslavia if they do not regain their violated state-building rights. The terror campaign against the Serbs started with the elimination of the Serbian state-building rights from Croatia’s constitution in 1990; a policy which resulted in the expulsion of 80% of the Serbs from Croatia and Krajina, whose collective and private properties were then confiscated.
The Government of the Republic of Serbian Krajina is taking advantage of this opportunity to show its high respect towards the diplomatic consular represententatives in the Republic of Serbia.
